Illega l mining activities in the Wassa Amenfi East District has affected all the water bodies in the area. Wassa Amenfi East is in the Western Region of Ghana which Wassa Akropong is the capital. Since 2010, We have seen Chinese trooping into the district with the aim of mining the virgin forests and cocoa plantations in search of Gold. National security personnels always come here for mining operations and arrest these chinese but you see them(Chinese)in the next three(3) days working on the same land. WHO IS BEHIND THIS?
